At Serena TMS, we believe access to effective mental health care should be clear, supportive, and stress-free. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is covered by most major insurance plans for the treatment of depression and obsessive compulsive disorder when medical criteria are met. Our experienced team works directly with your insurance provider to verify benefits and guide you through the approval process.
Insurance Coverage for TMS Therapy
TMS is an FDA approved, evidence-based treatment for Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other qualifying conditions. Many patients are surprised to learn that TMS is often covered by insurance.
Before treatment begins, our team will:
Verify your insurance benefits
Determine eligibility based on clinical criteria
Review estimated out-of-pocket costs with you upfront
Obtain prior authorization if required
Our goal is to eliminate confusion and help you focus on your care.
Insurance Plans We Commonly Work With
Serena TMS is in-network or works with many major insurance providers, including:
Medicare
TRICARE
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Aetna
Cigna
UnitedHealthcare
State Medicaid Plans
Other commercial insurance plans
Coverage varies by plan and individual policy. Our team will confirm your specific benefits prior to scheduling treatment.
TRICARE
As a veteran-owned, physician-led clinic, Serena TMS is proud to serve veterans, active-duty service members, and military families. We work with TRICARE and understand the unique requirements involved in military insurance plans.
If additional documentation or referrals are required, our team will assist you every step of the way.
VA COMMUNITY CARE
Serena TMS is able to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment to eligible Veterans through the VA Community Care Program.
Veterans may qualify for Community Care if TMS services are not readily available at a VA facility or if receiving care in the community is determined to be in the Veteran’s best medical interest. All services provided through VA Community Care require a referral before treatment can begin.
If you are a Veteran interested in TMS treatment through VA Community Care, our team can help guide you through the process. Please contact us to discuss eligibility, required documentation, and next steps once authorization has been approved.
